Case Study 1 - Electric HGV Charging

Morgan & Newby Engineering (M&N) were commissioned to design, specify and install an electric vehicle charging station for an electric heavy goods vehicle (eHGV).

The client requested a prompt charging turnaround in order to maximise ROI from the vehicle; a 360kW charging station was selected.

M&N appraised the existing site electrical infrastructure and worked with an Independent Connection Provider (ICP) and the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) to design and install a new High Voltage connection point with Low Voltage transformer specifically for the new EV charger.

Design, electrical, civil and commissioning works were all provided by M&N’s team of engineers.
